How it started
It Started With Frustration.
Our first kitchen wasn’t built in a showroom. It was built for a family who wanted freedom. Freestanding cabinets they could move. Solid wood that felt alive. Soft‑close drawers that worked every time.
The reaction? “This doesn’t feel like a kitchen. This feels like home.”
We kept hearing the same complaints: overpriced quotes, cheap chipboard cupboards, designs that felt boring and lifeless. People felt trapped in kitchens they didn’t truly love. So we asked: what if a kitchen could be made like real furniture? That question became TLC.
Transparency is Our Way of Working.
We’re not here to sell you a dream. We’re here to build you something solid, flexible, and beautiful and we’ll tell you the truth, even if it means you wait before you buy.
In The Showroom
See, touch, and test every finish. Open drawers, feel the weight of the wood, and compare options side by side so you know exactly what you’re getting.
On the phone
Straightforward answers. No jargon, no hard sell — just clear guidance to help you understand what works for your space and budget.
Gauteng Site Verification
For TLC Design Your Own Space (DYOS) clients only.
After TLC client vetting and an initial quotation, request on-site verification in Gauteng. We check your measurements, selected units and site conditions against your own layout. Design, redesign and elevations are excluded.
The standard fee is R2,000, credited/refunded only on a final accepted order of R20,000 or more. Travel limits and extra charges apply. View the verification details and request a visit through Booklink.
Custom kitchen design is a separate TLC service. Please contact TLC directly or call 065 982 4317 to discuss custom kitchen design.
Furniture, Not Fixtures
We believe your kitchen should work around your life — not the other way around. That’s why every TLC piece is freestanding, flexible, and built to last.
Our Mission
At TLC, our mission is to turn kitchens into furniture — flexible, freestanding, and built to last. We believe your kitchen should adapt as life changes, growing with you and moving with you, instead of locking you in.
Our Vision
To redefine the way South Africans think about kitchens — moving from fixed, disposable cupboards to timeless freestanding furniture. We envision homes where every kitchen is flexible, sustainable, and crafted with pride, giving families freedom, beauty, and value that lasts for generations.
